Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is counselling with a focus on intimacy and sexual concerns. Sex therapy can also assist in enhancing your sex life to be even better
In counselling, we ask questions about the nature of the issue, the length of time of the problem and the steps taken to resolve the issue. We are interested in your thoughts and feelings. Talking directly to the counsellor, as a third person, is often so much easier than speaking to each other, as the counsellor can help to mediate the issue.
Typically, only a few sessions are required, and occasionally, it can be beneficial to have an individual session without your partner present. It is not always necessary to come to counselling for sexual issues with your partner. Discussing sex on your own can also be helpful. Don’t put off getting help for this important area of your life.
We can explore with you:
Premature or delayed ejaculation
Erectile dysfunction or impotence
Inability or difficulty in reaching orgasm
Performance anxiety
Painful intercourse
Loss of desire
Sexual Compulsions
Sexual fantasies and phobias
Gender identity issues and sexual orientation, where they intersect with sex
